    Contest at the Boyne District Library highlighting local history. Stop in and test your knowledge of Boyne City history. Books will be given as prizes.

  • "THE HEART OF THE MATTER" is a seminar sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Boyne City at the Boyne District Library from 9 a.m. to noon on April 17. The seminar will address important life issues such has exploring how you can make informed decisions regarding home health care, continue to be independent, and the importance of having a will.
  • 50s PARTY
    The Northern Michigan Cancer Crusaders present "Rock Around the Clock for Cancer," a 50s party from 6 p.m. to midnight April 17 at the Boyne City Eagles Hall. The party features live music by TNT, a Twist Contest, a DJ, prizes, cash bar and silent auction. Admission is $6. If you come dresses as a 50s or 60s character, you may win a prize.   • Third Annual Chef's Challenge
    Benefit for Challenge Mountain, which will be held at Boyne Mountain. Chef teams from throughout Michigan present the state's great Agricultural diversity at its succulent finest, complemented by fine Michigan wines and micro-brews. Judging will take place in two separate events:
    • Tasting - chefs, microbrewers, vintners and spirits distillers are judged by a team of celebrity judges and the public.
    • Iron-Chef – a cook-off between the winning teams from the Southern Michigan and Northern Michigan.

    9 and 10 News is the newest sponsor of the Chamber’s Business Expo and Taste of Boyne, which will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29 at the former Carter's Store, 1315 Boyne Avenue (M-75 South). "We are pleased to have the additional exposure that our partnership with 9 & 10 News will provide," said Jim Baumann, executive director of the Chamber. "Since this is one of the largest business networking events in Northern Michigan, it makes sense for us to partner with the region’s top television news station." Exhibitor registrations are coming in at a fast pace for the Expo, as businesses realize that the earliest registrations get first choice of booth locations.
