The Boyne City Farmers Market is a program of the Boyne City Main Street / Downtown Development Authority. It is governed by an 11-member committee consisting of vendors and community members. Boyne Area Senior Center, 411 E. Division St., is open to the public for daily lunches. For seniors age 60+, the donation is $3, for ages 60 and under. $6. For daily information call 582 6682.
Boyne Area Senior Center is hosting night meals instead of lunches on Wednesdays. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and serving continues until 6. Please join us for this endeavor and have dinner instead of lunch every Wednesday. Entertainment will also be provided each Wednesday.

Charlevoix Senior Center building. The evening will begin with a feature performance by “Finding Eden”- Sisters Jessica Dominic and Sarah Sheaffer blend their voices in ‘sisterly harmony’, accompanying themselves on guitar and mandolin. Their song selections include originals as well as a variety of music to lift your heart and move your spirit.
The featured performers will share music from 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed by a circle jam session with musicians and poets. Suggested donations are $5/person, $10 /family; all donations are for the scheduled performers. Light refreshments available at no charge.
This community event for all ages is held at the Charlevoix Senior Center Building: From US 31 at the south side of Charlevoix, turn west onto Carpenter St. (between the Pizza Hut and Flap Jack Shack). The Boyne City American Legion will hold a Veterans Day ceremony in Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11.
Boyne City's free salute to Veterans and Armed Forces,"America Sings," will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11 in the Performing Arts Center at Boyne City High School. Entertainers include the Boyne City High School Jazz Combo and Concert Band, Kristin Glasgow Watson, the Sashays, Scott and Mary Poquette, Jake Slater's Tribute to Elvis, the Boyne City Youth Singers, and "Boyne Meets Broadway" Show Tunes by the BCHS Drama Department. Admission is free and doors open at 1:30 p.m. Organizers of the show include Gordon Lambie, Justin Weisler, Chris Faulknor, George Lasater, Deb Jason, Doug Shields, Oral Sutliff, Ron Freed and Mike Cain.

Boyne Co-op True Value will be holding its second annual Buck Pole Contest Nov. 15 and 16. Register by 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14, at the Co-op, 113 S. Park St., Boyne City. The registration fee is $20, and there will be more than $3,000 in prizes for the top scores for men, women, youth and overall score. Three should mounts valued at $500 are being donated by Lasting Memories, Northwoods Taxidermy and Ultimate Wildlife Taxidermy. Judging will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 15 and 16. The Co-op is donating 25% of the proceeds to local charities. Free hot dogs and beverages will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 and 16. They are also looking for volunteers to assist on Nov. 15 and 16.

The Boyne City High School Drama Department will present its annual dinner theater variety show, Boyne Meets Broadway, on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 16 and 17 at the Boyne City High School Performing Arts Center. Enjoy appetizers, dinner and dessert catered by the school's hospitality program while students from the jazz band set the mood in the commons with their smooth sounds. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. sharp. After dinner, sit back, relax and enjoy as the Drama Department presents this year's rendition of its well-known fall variety show filled with song and dance inspired by Broadway, the big screen and more. Tickets are $25 per person and may be purchased from any cast member or at Local Flavor, 125 Water St.

The list of special offers is now available for the fourth annual "Boyne City Earlier Than The Bird" - and there are lots of impressive bargains. The holiday shopping event is planned for Saturday, Nov. 17, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. The event is created for those who want to kick off the season with friends and family, coffee and pastries, and holiday shopping specials - all while in the comfort of their pajamas. By holding the event the Saturday before Thanksgiving, Boyne City merchants are inviting customers to come and get an "early bird" preview of all the great holiday shopping available. Merchants will be offering special deals along with refreshments. In addition, those shoppers wearing their pajamas will receive a special gift of a Boyne City coffee mug. (Sorry, sweats and workout clothes are not eligible as pajamas). The event is sponsored by the Main Street Program and the Boyne Area Chamber of Commerce. Downtown Boyne City will transform itself into a holiday winter wonderland when it hosts the annual Holiday Open House and Santa Parade on Nov. 23, the Friday after Thanksgiving, from 5 to 9 p.m. The streets of downtown Boyne City will be filled with the sounds, sights and smells of the Christmas season for the parade and open house. Downtown businesses will be offering great shopping, refreshments and hospitality during the festivities. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with business open houses and the Community Christmas Tree Lighting by the Boyne Area Girl Scouts at the west end of One Water Street, near Sunset Park. Following the tree lighting the Girl Scouts will lead holiday revelers in singing Christmas carols. The parade will begin at 6 p.m. and all community churches, organizations, schools and businesses are encouraged to participate. The evening's special guest will be the Jolly Old Man from the North. Santa will arrive on his sleigh, joined by his elves and live reindeer. Those participating in the parade will line-up on East Main Street between Park and Lake streets starting at 5:30 p.m. The parade route will follow Lake Street to Water Street and through the heart of downtown. After the parade Santa will meet with children at the gazebo in Old City Park. Hayrides through downtown will also be available during the evening at the intersection of Water and Park streets in front of Parkside Grill and Treats.
