It's Annual "Ducky Derby" time - If you like what Crossroads is doing in the community and would like to help, but you just don't have time to volunteer in the store, please consider buying a Ducky Derby ticket to help support Crossroads.The Annual Ducky Derby is the only fundraiser where all proceeds are earmarked for capital improvements so that all store proceeds can continue to help those in need. The date of the event is Sunday, August 12, 2012. Tickets are $100.00 each or you can partner with others and share the cost of a ticket, every dollar counts. Please call the store (231-536-7606) they will connect you with others that are looking to share the cost of a ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the store or from a Crossroads Board Member.Let's fill the river with lots of ducky's for Crossroads!!

8:00 AM to continue planning on the 3rd Annual Pumpkin Festival - Saturday Oct. 20th downtown East Jordan. Pumpkin Festival will be held once again on the same day as the 4th Annual Breezeway Fall Color Cruise. If your business or organization is interested in sponsoring or working on an activity, please join us! We have plenty of ideas - we are in need of volunteers and sponsors to implement then. (Many hands make less work and more fun!)

(4:00 PM) The ladies will be riding into East Jordan at 4:00 PM escorted by EJ City Police Chief Dale Boehm. The Chamber will be passing out "Welcome Bags" at Boyne Mt. when the ladies arrive. If you are interested in promoting your business with a coupon or promotional trinket, please have 100 copies to the Chamber Office by August 15, at 5:00 PM. The ladies will be staying at Boyne Mt. and will be riding throughout the area. Dawn Johnson of East Jordan is once again coordinating the event.
