  • INDOOR FARMERS MARKET at the Red Barn next to the Boyne District Library on Park Street. The indoor market will continue every Saturday through April from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be Holiday Basket Drawings for Thanksgiving and Christmas - don't miss out on the opportunity to have turkey and all the fixings.

    The Boyne City Farmers Market is a program of the Boyne City Main Street / Downtown Development Authority. It is governed by an 11-member committee consisting of vendors and community members.   • LET'S DO LUNCH
    Boyne Area Senior Center, 411 E. Division St., is open to the public for daily lunches. For seniors age 60+, the donation is $3, for ages 60 and under. $6. For daily information call 582 6682.

  • SENIOR CENTER DINNERS
    Boyne Area Senior Center is hosting night meals instead of lunches on Wednesdays. Dinner starts at 5 p.m. and serving continues until 6. Please join us for this endeavor and have dinner instead of lunch every Wednesday. Entertainment will also be provided each Wednesday.

  • Camp Daggett
    Mother & Daughter Weekend
    Mothers, stepmothers, grandmothers or big sisters are invited to bring their daughters (ages 7-17) for a fun-filled Mother & Daughter Weekend, May 3-5, at Camp Daggett. Cost is $150 for mother/daughter, plus $50 for each additional girl. Space is limited and registration is on a first come first served basis. Participants can expect a weekend of fun and adventure learning new skills, enjoying the beauty of Camp Daggett in the spring. Food, lodging and activities included in the fee.   • DARE 5K/1 MILE FUN RUN
    The first annual Boyne City and East Jordan Police Departments D.A.R.E. 5K/1 mile Fun Run will be held Saturday. The race will start and finish in Sunset Park, behind the Chamber office at 28 S. Lake St. in downtown Boyne City. All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to continue the D.A.R.E. programs in Boyne City and East Jordan schools. The race starts at 8 a.m. with registration at 7. The first 200 registrants will receive an event t-shirt. Registration form is available online and at the police departments and chamber offices in Boyne City and East Jordan. You can also register from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Friday, the night before the race, behind the Chamber office. The race is for all ages, and the rate is only $5 for any DARE graduate wearing their DARE T-shirt.

  • DRAG RACES
    Sponsored by the Boyne City Police Department will be held from noon to 5 pm. Sunday, May 26, at the Boyne City Airport. Cars, trucks, snowmobiles, motorcycles and dune buggies will be racing on the 1/8-mile side-by-side track. Drivers can race for $30. Admission is $30 for racers, $10 for spectators; children under 10 are free.

    7 to 11 a.m. Monday at Boyne City High School benefitting for the Boyne City Booster Foundation.

  • Memorial Day
    * 7:00-11:00 BENEFIT BREAKFAST * 8:00-11:00 Memorial services at local cemeteries.
    * 11:45 Memorial Day Procession from American Legion Post, proceeding north on Lake Street to Veterans Memorial Park.
    * 12:00 noon Veterans Memorial Park Services. The Boyne City High School Band will perform, and all area veterans are invited to participate.
