There are many stressors in life. Some are; relationships, health issues, financial, employment, housing and the death of loved ones. Each person copes with those stressors in their own unique ways. At sometime in everyone's life they will have symptoms of depression. It is very important to know that here in our area there is help for persons with symptoms of depression. Depression if severe and untreated can lead to suicidal thoughts, actions, and even death. This presentation will provide information on the signs and symptoms of depression as well as the risks of suicide. Treatment of depression and suicidal ideation will be reviewed.

Our presenters include professionals from North Country Community Mental Health, substance abuse and grief counseling.

It is the goal of this presentation to educate persons of where help is available, affordable, and accessible 24 hours a day seven days a week. To also encourage persons at risk to share their feelings with others. With that knowledge you will have the information which well may save a person from taking their life.

The general public, parents, teachers, clergy, medical, and mental health professionals are encouraged to attend.

EACH YEAR OVER 33,000 PERSONS DIE BY SUICIDE.
