9:30 to 11:00a.m. - Library's Comm. Rm. - Ages birth to four years old. The library and the Women's Resource Center collaborate together to promote reading to young children during play group. Mary Sivula, leader of the play group and Library Assistant Robin Moyer implement the program. It is a free program available for children from birth to four years old and is held every Wednesday from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the library's community room. Activities, games and projects are offered for children.

The Evangelical Lutheran Church on Rogers Road, East Jordan is hosting a Community Yard Sale from 8am to 2 pm on Aug. 8th at the church. All proceeds to the TOOLS OF FAITH/Habitat for Humanity new home build in East Jordan. Live music by The Cousins Music Group from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Please join us!

Annual Ducky Derby to be held on Sunday, August 9 at 3pm in Sportsman Park. Crossroads is a non-profit organization, dedicated to helping those in need in our community. Please help us to help others by volunteering at the store, donating good used clothing and household items or by purchasing a Ducky Derby ticket. Only 125 tickets will be sold at $100.00 each.Tickets may be purchased individually or you may want to "buddy up" with a friend or group of friends. Proceeds will go into our capital improvements fund for the purpose of continuing the paving of the parking lot, making a safer area outside and a cleaner area inside for our shoppers. Thank You East Jordan for all you do to support this community.

The Art of Tracking
Time: Saturday-- 1 pm to 9pm
Sunday-- Breakfast starts at 8 am. Classes go from 9 am to 5 pm
Location: Wagbo Farm, just south of East Jordan at 5745 North M-66
The Institute for Sustainable Living, Art, and Natural Design, (ISLAND) and the Martha Wagbo Farm and Education Center are partnering to bring you a valuable resource in outdoor education-tracking knowledge. If you are a hunter, a wildlife researcher, a nature photographer, or if you have an interest in primitive skills or the animal world, then this workshop is for you. Activities will be lead by Paul Raphael, an experienced tracker who has worked with renown outdoorsmen and has taught tracking classes across the United States and Europe. Cost is $30 for three meals and camping, $25 for two meals without camping (breakfast excluded.) Overnight camping is available at the Wagbo Farm.
